In the movie "Head of State", starring Chris Rock, many interesting points were made during the movie. Chris Rock stars as Mays Gillian, an African American politician on the pursuit to become president.  Mays lives in an under class community and is known for giving a hand to anyone who needs help.  After an unfortunate plane crash that he saw on the tv, forcing the party to find new candidates ASAP.  This party noticed Mays heroic acts of saving the lady and her cat from the exploding house and wanted him to run for president.  Mays goes about this process differently than most would, almost as if mocking the system.  During a fundraiser,  he spices things up and becomes a DJ, getting everybody to dance and have a good time.  Typically having a good time at a fund raiser for political parties is not fun at all.  Most of May's speeches across the country were casual, plain, boring, like most speeches by people who have been in his position, except at the end.  Mays, while shitting a little bit on his apposing candidate, also reaches out to the crowd in front of him as well.  Instead of telling the crowd what the people wanted to hear,  he tells them how he feels and what his real views are.  At the end of the movie where Gillian is in a debate with his competitor, they both have different views, obviously.  They both also come into this debate with very different techniques.  Mays has a playful, joking attitude about the situation but has good points when it comes down to it.  As does his competitor, who comes with a serious attitude, which is normally how things are supposed to be in debates.  One reason why Mays wons this election (aside from it being a movie and fake) could be that Mays dresses more casually, more like the middle and under class, which would probably contribute to him getting over 90% of the underclass (and minority.. i think)'s votes. My opinion is Chris Rock had the better final word, helping him get more votes when he said "god bless not only America, but...." I don't remember the list of countries he said, I think one was Haiti.  At the end of the movie, both of the candidates were posted in front of their TV waiting to see who won.  When it came down to California, Mays Gillian came out on top.
