Without the government I don't think America would be at the point we're at today, maybe even the world. As a country we've developed a lot over the past 240 years, to say the least. Thousands of laws have been set in place from California to Maine to allow a stable foundation for future generations to rise from, and that's exactly what we did. If the founding fathers never signed the Declaration of Independence then the America we know and love wouldn't be the same. We may even be driving on the other side of the road. We might have adopted laws from Europe or Canada if we didn't start our own back in the 1700s. Everything that happens within our government effects how we live today, whether their decisions had been accepted and put into place or decline and thrown away.
If America never obtained the nickname "home of the free and opportunity" then my grandparents may never have moved here from Ireland to seek a better place to live. So there's a chance that without the government my parents wouldn't have met and I wouldn't be born.
Nice job, you talked a lot about the positive achievements of our government. You should address what the nation would be like without it. Would there be chaos? Would there be peace? Describe in more detail.
