A recent issue that news and America has covered is Ebola. Ebola is a virus that has fatal results if not treated. EVD (Ebola Virus Disease) was first found in 1976 in Yambuku, Dominican Republic of Congo. The disease was named after the river inside the village it came from.
The disease is transmitted to people from wild animals and from then spreads from human to human as such in various parts of us of a. There are currently no licensed vaccines for Ebola, but there are 2 candidates that are undergoing evaluation. There are also treatments like immunological and drug therapy under development to treat EVD.
Early symptoms of Ebola are having a fever, sore throat, muscle pain, and headaches. Later symptoms would be vomiting, diarrhea and rashes. If it is not treated immediately fatal consequences such as liver and kidneys not being able to function, internal/external bleeding and even death.
